Ever since the Ducal Palace opened to public in 1959, this vast chamber was given the name Hall of Lost Steps for one would wander from one side to the other, waiting to be received, walking in a limited space leading nowhere.

The purpose of this chamber in the 15th century is unknown. Currently, the visitor's gaze is drawn to the two great tapestries displayed on the wall.
